Bark In The Park

Last Tuesday, July 31st, was the Bark in the Park with the Everett Aquasox. We usually get 2 diamond club tickets for right behind home plate. We didn't do it this year because we got 2 two vouchers from a lady that was in line because she had a few extra. Each one was good for a general admission ticket that we redeemed at the ticket booth. It saved us from spending $34 for our 2 tickets.

We found a spot on the bleachers and the dogs checked out everything around us.

Oscar met another Boston Terrier friend that was sitting two rows behind us.

This was the view we had from our seats.

Zachary loved everything about the game and was talking almost the whole time. People thought he was so cute because they thought he was cheering for the team. Enjoy the pictures!

Sadie decided that it was better to lay next to the guy in front of us than stay with us. I don't get why she will go next to a complete stranger but not Louis. It has to do with the type of men.

The Aquasox scored 6 runs in the 4th inning and ended up winning with those 6 runs because the other team didn't score any.

It started getting chilly towards the end, so I put Zachary's little Dragon Jacket on him.

It was a great night even though I ended up getting bitten several times by mosquitoes. I was also the only one that got bitten and neither Zach or Louis did. I guess they just love my blood!

Only One Nap A Day

Most babies that are Zachary's age take about 2, maybe 3, naps a day. Let me tell you how wonderful that would be! I could actually get things done in peace and quiet, without a screaming child. I would love for that to happen, but this kid won't allow it. Zachary has always, from the time he was born, fought his sleep. He just turned 8 months old yesterday and is only allowed one nap. You might be saying "Why?", so I will explain. If Zachary even gets 2 naps in a day, he will not fall asleep until 1-2 AM. I'm the one that has to stay up with him because Louis has to work early in the morning.

There are some downsides to only getting one nap. He is cranky when he gets tired, but you can't let him sleep. Even a 15 minute power nap can keep him up for 3-4 hours. Also, he usually gets super tired at dinner time and will fall asleep sometimes.

But, he's awake, and smiling, as soon as I take the picture.

7 months old and fun at the beach

I was going to do multiple posts for different pictures but decided to do it all in one post. I will be all caught up after this post. These pictures are all from his 7th month and that's why I'm grouping them together. I know he's almost 8 months old (as of this coming Monday) but better late than never! Here are the highlights of this month.

Zach loves going for walks every day. He watches everyone and everything around him.

He loves standing against everything! He can't get himself into a standing position by himself and needs help, but is fine once he is standing.

On July 9th, Zachary broke his first plate. I thought the high chair was far enough away from the table but it wasn't. He reached as far as he could and pulled the plate off the table. This was really sad to me because the plate was from a set that we got for our wedding, but what can you do?

Lastly, the beach. Up until last week, most of July has been great weather! I mean, sun and 80+ degrees. This means that we got to go to parks and beaches almost every day. We visit Mukilteo beach all the time because it's about 10 minutes away. These pics were from one of those outings.

Get this hat off of me!

Zach has such a great friendship with both the dogs and for different reasons. Oscar is more of the buddy, while Sadie is more of a second mother. Zach loves to hang out with Oscar and pet him nicely. He's never too rough and Oscar loves all the attention.

They will even do the same thing at the same time!

Sadie will pretty much let Zach do anything to her. He'll pull on her tail, collar, and ears and she doesn't care at all. I think it's because she was a mother so she was used to puppies biting and pulling at her all the time. Zach also LOVES her leash and loves to chew on it. This is why we're thinking about getting him his own leash to chew. Sadie's probably has so many germs on it!

I will leave you with this picture of Oscar looking sharp in his Doggles.

Baby Tigger meets Alex Boye

July 3rd was the dress rehearsal for the July 5th Ensign Symphony and Chorus concert featuring Alex Boye. Zachary and I went to support Louis and, of course, meet Alex. First, I'm going to share some photos that I took of Baby Tigger (aka Zachary). I think he has got to have one of the cutest smiles, but I am also his mother so I think he's always cute!

The next three are my favorites. It really shows his personality!

After the rehearsal, Alex sang some songs with his band and we had such a great time dancing to the music.

Next, the big moment came. Zachary got to meet his favorite singer! He wouldn't stop looking at Alex.

A Passing

I got a text yesterday morning from my mother-in-law saying the Louis' grandmother had passed away at the age of 97. I never met the woman as she lived on the other side of the country, but I was related to her. Not by blood, but by marriage. So, I still considered her to be my grandma because all of mine are gone. She lived a long and good life and will be greatly missed.

The Blinds

We have blinds that go across our sliding door that leads to the patio and Zachary is obsessed with them. We have his Step N' Play activity center right next to the door, so he gets to touch the blinds whenever he is playing. I would stop him, but he's so cute!
